Memory Card Slot

Post by Schmeman »

I have been looking around these forums for quite a while now, and I just ordered what I need in order to start my first project (which will be a SNESp). However, i was just kinda curious about the N64 even though I don't really plan on making one. Have the people who have made a portable N64 put a memory card slot in? Is this all that difficult to accomplish? I was just curious because my favorite 64 game (mystical ninja :P) is pretty much worthless without a memory card. Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you can have one of these in your portable, a couple people have done it. All you have to do is rewire some 32 wires and mount it correctly and it will work for transfer, memory, and rumble paks.

Most people don't bother. Some people integrate a rumble pak. A few have gotten combo rumble/memory paks and used those. And yeah, a few people have put slots in. It's up to you.
