Gamecube Digital Out

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Gamecube Digital Out

Post by AfroLH »

Ok, So on the list of screens you can and can't use, it says you cannot use integrated screens because they use Digital signals rather than Analogue.

Well, on the back of a gamecube it has Digital AV Out.
Couldn't this be used to use the integrated screens?

Edit: I think I figured it out.
No it cannot.
It does not output a digital signal, Rather it outputs RGB.

No. The gamecube's digital out is something proprietary to Nintendo. AFAIK, the only thing that can do anything with that signal is the component cable for the gamecube (which is freakishly expensive) that converts said digital proprietary signal to analog component (YPbPr).

Yeah, I figured that out.

It was a misunderstanding on my part.

Hmm...anybody in need of human hair, synthetic, or synthetic lace wigs?
