1.) hey sam, welcome to the forums.
2.) To get started most people buy everything they need for the project:
ps2, screen, keyboard and such things.
3.) If its your first project you should just buy a pre-made case; and it is possible to add an extra USB port ( why do you need one though? ) and you just solder the pins of the extra USB port to one thats already on the ps2 mobo.

Wow! Thanks.
I need an extra usb port becouse i am including a keyboard on my laptop and i will connect it through usb internaly so you cannot see it, this leaves me one port down.
How do you connect the port to the ps2?

If the keyboard is built in, just hardwire it.

Okay i will look into how to hardwire it. Thanks. Is it possible to run the tv and ps2 of the same plug. I was also thinking that i have a lot of spare space in the base of my laptop and was thinking if it was possible to run the ps2 and screen on chargable battery packs?.This might seem the most basic question but i am getting a 17" tv for the screen but when i turn it on is there a way to get ti to always go on av so when you turn the xbox on the screen comes on av.

yes it is possible.

if you are running the system off a wall socket, then your laptop obviously isn't going to be completely portable, so no need for a battery. And it would need to be a BIG battery, or a few middle sized ones. ( not worth it )

Leave it on the channel where the games are usually displayed.
