Re: THE MGSAN64P!
BUMP!
What do you think I should get first? A screen or batteries?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
I think batteries would be easier, it's harder to test a screen and console by using the normal power cables.

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Ok thanks, I could just hook it up to a normal T.V. still until I get a screen, right?
Re: THE MGSAN64P!
I'd get a screen first, because you don't need batteries, but you need a screen. Some people add batteries later.

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Then what's the point of a portable, y'know. If I was just going to plug it into a wall, I would just use my tv. I guess I'll do whatever's more expensive first...
Re: THE MGSAN64P!
It's nice to play in a car though, like on long trips. Or to like a hotel with no TV. Or at school. But the thing is that you can always add batteries after if you leave room. You can't do that with a screen.

This project is not dead. I'm sorry for not updating. Still looking for a screen and batteries.

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
So, this is going to be getting a re-working, for the contest. Just wait another week or two. When school is out, I'm getting this done quick.
So, what does age have to do with anything.zealot2009 wrote:I got mine open with pens in 10 minutes and I'm 11(BTW I used 3 pens)

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Not neccisarily true, I'm 13 and most members I see around here are 16 and up. Just because they know more in electronics, does that make me stupid. Stupidity has nothing to do with age.OhSnap! wrote:well generally young people are stupidermikeyg wrote:So, this is going to be getting a re-working, for the contest. Just wait another week or two. Re: THE MGSAN64P!
i myself am 14 years old and would be considered at least moderately intelligent and i have had some experience with electronics and engineering when i built my mame arcade machine last year. so i was making more of a retarded generalization that younger people are "stupider".
it wasn't like he was saying he was 11 to show off that he was advanced mentally for his age, he was just saying that a monkey or equivalent (the average 11 year old) probably could use a pen to unscrew it.

I couldn't get the damn thing open with apen. Used four of them too. I just took a HUGE screwdriver and pliers to it.
