Thinking about my next project (PS2 slim portable) I'll be using a small amplifier - likely 2x5w, and I want some good quality speakers to go with it. I'm estimating that I'll have room for either a 2.5" circular speaker either side of the screen, or 2.5" x 4" if I use the full height of the screen. Mounting depth of approx 15-20mm.
Does anyone have pointers to suppliers of good quality miniature speakers suitable for portables/tv's etc?

Double correction- both Digi-key and Mouser have so many speakers you'll never be able to find one.Life of Brian wrote:Correction - both Digi-Key and Mouser have tons of speakers.marshallh wrote:Both digikey and Mouser have speakers.

Re: High quality miniature speakers?
I downloaded the digikey catalogue and found some nice 40mm mini-monitor speakers that have a good frequency response and are rather shallow. I'll probably go with a pair of those, and maybe a slightly larger, single oval or rectangular design that I can hide in the case for better low frequency response.
