Schematics for ISA

Post by stuntpenguin007 »

I know there used to be some sort of mod to put a PCI card slot in your dreamcast. Does anybody have the schematics? The original site that had them is no longer online or cached in google.

here it is, but not the schematics

Here we are

Guess I'll order the parts.

It's ISA and PCMCIA (16-bit), not PCI. Though, keep in mind that it is a slow interface and fairly complicated mod. I only know of three that have been built, the two you linked and a NetBSD-DC developer.

I see the archive.org page has the schematics, but I think I might have an updated schematic (with IDE fully labeled).

Edit:Actually, I found two other schematics one revised by the NetBSD person and another with Ethernet as well (will not work as a Broadband adapter, AFAIK), and PCB layout for one of them.
Gah... I can't upload them "Could not upload attachment to ./files/439_8093c9a2a97cc3049586171fb45ecb54." either Ben's out of space or it didn't like the file.

Oops. I meant ISA. I'll look for the updated schematics. If its really slow I might not even try though.

I found this, but I'm confused as to what j1 and j2 are.

Good that you found them. A good site for finding now nonresistant pages is archive.org

I'm going to put this on hold for a while and finish/improve a few other projects.
