GBA SP question - cracked screen

I don't know how I managed it (but I can hazard a guess), but I utterly smashed the LCD screen inside my SP (a while ago...) without damaging any part of the case. It still plays games and connects fine with my GameCube, but I just can't see anything. A friend and I are going to take it apart once we acquire a tri-wing screwdriver, and we were thinking of modifying the screen's connection so that it can connect directly with a TV. After browsing around, I've found that our plan isn't quite what we thought, so I was wondering if there were any suggestions.

I also need to figure out what exactly the problem is with its shoulder buttons, as they rarely register any longer... might be wear and tear from overuse, but eh. While I'm on the topic, right?

I think that you can still buy replacement gba sp screens off of ebay for a reasonable price, but if you really want to go with the deportablization, you should check out bacteria's tv out thing in the reference handhelds section.

You may need to clean your tact switches off or replace the actual switches.

No. Replacement screens would have all been eaten up by me if they were available.

For the shoulder buttons, try this. Put your lips on the corner and form a seal, and blow really hard. It works, trust me.

@ erddrue : I thought of that, but my friend and I really wanted to deportablize it because the thought of plugging the thing into a TV to play is just far too amusing to us.
And I was looking over that earlier - I'll just have to show it to my friend.

@ Bibin : Ha, funny. Can't imagine they'd be easy to come by, though...

I'll try that and hope that there's gunk in there that I can get out. If not, then I blame the excessive mashing of the shoulder buttons caused by Chain of Memories...

Ok, I just took a stab in the dark and made an educated guess. And I thought that the "blow" method was only for the ds.

Huh. Seems like that would work better on an SP than a DS.
