Nope. It's real. It is in the May issue of Popular Science, under their "How 2.0" section.

It looks legit. But take a look at the url. ipodlinux.com... The sites just dressed up for april fools day. Take a look into the forums. They're all talking about getting linux on ipods. Its a joke. Get it?
