Shopping for a "large" screen

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Shopping for a "large" screen

Post by CraigD »

Hello all; I am working on my first portable, NEST (Nintendo Entertainment System Take-along). I am putting a NES into a 1300 Pelican case and want the largest screen possible in the lid. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

You'd be looking at a 10"ish (10.4") 4:3 Screen. (Width 8", Height, 6", plus approximately 1/2" on each axis for the frame)

For reference.

Since it's for an NES, the resolution shouldn't matter too much.

Here's some examples:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/New-10-4-Car-Home-LC ... 1|294%3A50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Hey, sup?

The hannspree 10" is a possibilty, sometimes listed as 9.6". They come in baseballs, firetrucks and a whole bunch of cute stuff.
