Hello everyone, I am new here and am prepared to begin the hazing.
Okay, so my question is this: I am working on a portable NES built on an original NES; so I knew I needed a new 72 pin socket and had a game genie and figured I would just integrate the game genie into the portable. Question is this: has anyone noticed the game genie (or heard stories)? I noticed that the game genie holds the carts really tight.

Re: Game Genie damaging to carts?
I've never heard of any problems, but I've never used a Game Genie so I don't have any firsthand experience.

Dont post questions in the reference section, kinda defeats the purpose of it.
As for your question, the only thing Ive heard is when using it on the toploader.

You want it to hold the carts kinda tight
If it doesn't, it can lose the connection and freeze the system.

I've been using the Game Genie for a long time, and my carts all still work fine. In fact, I integrated my game genie into my NES, and haven't had any problems.

Sorry didn't mean to put this in the reference section; thanks for moving it.
