Are you thinking of a retro duo perhaps, Dopestkideva? And yes, somebody designed this whole thing I'd assume. Somebody with totally 1337 skills. And Noacs don't play many of the more complex NES games.

right along the top edge. those look like solder points for a cart slot.

Ah, looks pretty good. Chances of someone redesigning the board = slim, at this point. Who do we know that can do that + is interested in the snes?

It's not hard, it just takes a lot of work.

Basically, you desolder all the SNES components from a mini snes, map out all the connections in some circuit program, etch a board, and resolder everything.

It would take TONS of work and TONS of patience and TONS of surface mount soldering.

I don't think there would be a profit if anyone made them.
I don't think anyone would pay more than 50 bux for it and that's how much an Snes would cost you.

Well all that you need to make your own circuit boards is there are these kits that you can buy with your own different sized copper pieces, then you put nail polish on what you don't want eaten away and then you dip it in some sort of acid and it leaves you with a circuit board! But to make something like this you would have to hire a professional like expresspcb.com. And yeah, then you would have to desolder the IC's from the board you were making smaller.

Huh? You describe an ultra-crude method and then say you have to hire a professional? Makes no sense.

There's lots of info on making circuit boards on the interwebs. Also there are a lot of services which will do it for you, but you have to choose before you design because usually they require you to use their own software (which may or may not be good).

For stuff like this you are most likely going to have a professionally made board. Ink Jet boards are good but when you get really small you can miss traces and crap.
