Oprah wants to give you free KFC.
I got a link to this within hours of airing. I downloaded the PDF, printed out 50 copies. and have been twice. They got so many people doing this, that they fixed the site so that you have to download some lame program that only allows 4 copies of the coupon per computer/IP/name. Luckily, I still have the original PDF!

I talked to one of the heads at my local KFC after getting my free meal last night. KFC nor Oprah is paying for the free meals. KFC is making the franchise owners pay for for the meals we get for free.
So when you go to get you free meal. Be nice and get a extra side order or 2 and small mountain dew. So that these guy get some money out of this. Because this is kinda a big hit for them.
Who knows if the Namco Portable will ever become a reality?

Sorta... See, Oprah wants to show you how to eat healthy, being the epitome of health that she is.
So KFC payed her to shill their new "healthy" (my ass) chicken meal.
Also, even after the new limits put in place, apparently they just canceled printing on the site. There was a riot in New York when they ran out of chicken.
But, the coupon still works, at least at my local KFC! So go get free chicken (And the new potato wedges as a side. They are awesome.)
And actually, it depends, Nightwheel. When they got their franchise lisencse, you can choose the level you operate at. If you run the more independent side, you can say "We are opting out" and take no hit at all. Ever seen those McDonalds that sell hotdogs? That is because they have the more independant liscense, and within reason, they can do whatever they want.
Other places that are under the main KFC banner get refunded by headquarters. They knew that stuff like this happens going in, they can opt out, or live with the license they chose.
