AV output problem

Post by thewise1 »

I'm trying to wire av output on my n64 using the ps1 screens av jack. I used bacterias guide for this.

http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... 04#p341804

I cut the three lines going to my ps1 screen and attached the video video and audio according to the guide. But this is the screen I get.

The weird thing is that I still get picture, if you look at the sides it two halves of the smash bros no controller screen. So I know that it's not an error of where everything goes. So I'm still getting picture, just not very well. I also tried it with the ps1 screen on and off while I was doing this.

So any ideas why it's doing this and how to fix it?

try using the n64 with another tv. sometimes that can be the case. if not, try rewiring ground. a bad ground connection and everything goes haywire

Actually my 3.5mm av cable wasn't a standard so I did my own wiring and now it works.
