So far I only have an LED modded PSOne screen, and an N64, so my first request in this thread will be for help with my shopping list.
Currently, I plan on purchasing:
A Battery of some sort and accompanying charger/etc. (No idea which one to pick; I really need some help here. )
Pth08080 or 08000? and stuff with it (After reading up on this in many other threads, I'm still quite lost
)Some wire (Any recommended size? I only have really small wire, probably in the high 30s or low 40s gauge, so that probably won't work.)
And some heatsinks
That should be all I need, right?
Other than that, I think the only other question I have is if it's possible to wire up the screen to the N64 and use the external power and have it work? I would assume it's possible, but I want to be sure that it could work before I invest time into that and end up frying something. If it's too much effort to do and not worth it, then I won't need to try it, but it's a good thing to know I suppose.
Thanks for any help and pardoning of my newbness. I was even debating with myself whether or not to post such lame questions, but I figure it's better to ask before I waste money and break something.
P.S. What would you recommend I read/study in order to learn about electronics and modding in general besides the stickies? You know, teach me how to fish instead of giving me a fish? (After supplying me with some fish for this thread of course.
