Okay, first off, talk like a human being. It's okay to throw in LOL or WTF occasionally but typing like a monkey on crack is not. Second off, try something easier first, because you'll just give up on this project. Get Ben's book, it's a good intro to the world of portabilizing. Read the stickies. Learn about electronics. Then build a NOACp, argubly the easiest portable. From there you can build something harder.

I can barely understand this. Could you please try to type in sentences with punctuation and real words? It's very difficult to understand you.

As for using batteries like AA's or 12V cells, the biggest problem with them is you would need a LOT of them, and they don't have the power to work very long. They just aren't efficient enough for a GCp. Sorry, but that's all I could understand out of everything you said.

You guys need to chill the heck out. Its pretty obvious what this kid is asking for - ADVICE- so stop being english teachers and be nerd teachers! geeze leweeze, u guys ever texted on a phone before?!?! (sorry stuff like tht just gets to me  )

Newbie, Id recommend Bens book, start small and work ur way up with portables so you dont get overwhelmed. Also, spend a good few weeks reading through ALL the topics in the forums regarding your specific portable. RESEARCH. Oh, and be dedicated :)

Have you ever texted a person that isn't in jr. high or an old person trying to be "hip"? Normal people text understandably. And he isn't just using abbreviations, even when translated it makes no sense.

On Shockslayer's ss64, I saw a battery life indicator - does anyone know how to make one of these?
A GCp is a bad first project - far too complex and easy to screw up.

AA batteries would power it for probably 20-30 minutes at most. It'd get expensive really quickly, and there are much better options out there.

You can find the low battery indicator in the stickies.

I fell like I lost 20 IQ points reading your sentences. I wish Lucretius was really back, and he could pwn you.

About the batteries, you should get some sony L-970 replacement batteries on ebay. They rock!
