Cartridge slot relocation question

Another win! I got it working, all I had to do was use some bigger wire that I pulled off of an ATX power supply and now it works. One more question, when I relocate the cartridge slot, is it OK to use ribbon cable even if it is the same that I had problems with before?

Yes, that's all I ever use. Just make sure that you make your wires as short as possible, and try and keep them under 6"

Last question, which case would be required for a N64 portable. The ZN-40 or ZN-45

ZN-45 is plenty roomy, and the ZN-40 is possible, but hard for a newb.

I have been putting this off for a while but now I have to relocate my cartridge slot. I was looking and the pins on the slot and on the motherboard don't line up perfectly. I am not talking about the holes in the mobo but the part that you actually solder to. Does anybody have a pin out of this because I can not find one? Also, I know that you don't have to use every pin but I can't find the pin out for this. Thanks for all of your help.

i have no idea what you mean, so i'll go through the process:
remove the bottom port
the holes that you plugged the cart slot into, there are parallel solder points. solder every pin to that corresponding solder point, making sure the arrow is facing the n64
there is a gap on the cart slot;don't worry about that. the solder point that doesn't have a corresponding plug/hole is the one you skip.
