Re: Is this worth anything?
Maybe. Buy it if you can get it cheap enough, because if it's worthless I'll bet it has lots of cool parts inside.

Is that a plastic card printer?
I guess you could take it apart and use it as a case for something.

Perhaps you could print logos and stuff for projects with it...?

I'll put a bid in, almost everything goes cheap on that site, at least once a month you'll see 2005 model 15 inch lcd's going for a buk.

Erm... FAKE IDs.
If you can go about it wisely enough, you can make several thousand dollars.
$200 for an ID seems reasonable.

Re: Is this worth anything?
I doubt it. Worst case scenario you bride the sensor (if any) that detects if the tray is in there.
Also, there's a bunch of counterfeiting protection stuff like that has.
And if you're going to deal IDs, make sure of a few things.
1) You deal through trusted sources who get a small cut.
2) You pretend you're a trusted source as well, to make it harder to pin down the main dude. Hierarchies work quite well in these situations, just keep everyone separate enough that nobody knows who's on the top. It's how drug dealing works too.
3) Keep it discreet, don't go blabbing or posting signs or crap.

Re: Is this worth anything?
Discussing selling fake ids on a public forum linking to an auction with the device in question has got to be the stupidest thing to do ever. That being said, you should totally give me a protection cut.
(Cut as in money, not killing me)
I doubt there's much of a use for consoles and stuff, though.

It doesn't matter, any mod knows your IP address.
The cops can trace you from this forum.

The first thing I thought of when I saw this was Fake ID's
I wouldn't actually make them but I could see how this could be pretty darn useful

Fake IDs? That makes my moneymaking idea (ROMs and an emulator on a CD) seem like a GOOD thing to do!

Did you code that emulator yourself? Don't profiteer off other people's hard work when they are doing this for fun.XCVG wrote:Fake IDs? That makes my moneymaking idea (ROMs and an emulator on a CD) seem like a GOOD thing to do!

Excellent
Re: Is this worth anything?
That's not a serious idea, and neither is the fake ID one, I'm just saying that you guys are exactly 541.56721% more evil than me.palmertech wrote:Did you code that emulator yourself?
