I think we should check to see if you can withstand 220 volts

here you got some pics, I supose the gba cpu is this one, but Idk how exaclty the overclock mod works,I remember at n64 you had to give some volts to an especific pin, but Idk at this board.

I´m also interested about the gba player reallocating mod, I want rewire the connector to my portable and put the gba player built in. but Idk if there are any unused pin, for that reason I wanted to ask before I rewire all pins

NOTE: this is a double sided reply, part of it is to help with your project and to kind of kick start my own, or get others talking about it. The Pin Out your Looking For is in blue.

I've been dreaming of this project for years and I'd like to run the idea by those here, who are much more skilled and knowledgeable about these things than I will ever be.

Alright I'm new to this forum, and I'm just starting a project, and need some advice.

1. I just bought a Game Boy Player(US)
2. My ideal is this, even know the Wii Dose not have a High Speed (Parallel) port needed to connect said hardware
it dose have the Game Cube Mode. and it recognizes the GBP disk when loaded.
3. I've seen a few Wii Parallel port mods and had this ideal.

A.Get a USB to Parallel Port Cable and the Pin outs for the P-Port and rewire to the correct posts on the GBP [but that leaves the problems of getting the CGN mode to see the USB Ports as the Parallel Port

Or

B.Crack open the Wii and do one of the many Parallel Port mods and build a correctly pined out connector.

------

I've done some digging around and found some information. the Game Cube Developer's box did have USB connections and they are just shut off in the Retail model's firmware. but have yet to come up with a way to turn back on that function. Regarding I/O Pins on the Wii I'm hitting a wall but an in contact with one of the Wii Parallel Port moder s
but it dose look like I'll have to crack open the system to get this working less Nintendo releases a USB to GBP Cable and Updated Wii boot disk.

according to my long sleepless nights I've found the GCN side Pin Outs for the Port they are as follows
a 36 pin Female Connection.

thanks :D

after sometime I stoped to especting anything from this topic hehe.

well, since my gcp laptop is already finished from like 2+ years ago, I lost my interest into connecting it again to the gamecube, however, while looking at your post, I noticed about two posible goals.

* like you said, connect it to the wii using parallel port, what I found on google related wii parallel port was just a how to to make a LPT cable for pc wich can dump or program the wii NAND, usefull to unbrick or mod the wii via firmware.

* you said something about usb port, this involves the idea of connecting the GBP to the PC or any other USB based device like ps2 ,ps3... etc, via USB or directly via the parallel port suposing the pinout will be compatible with or without some small modificacions, but not sure cuz the parallel pinout for PC have 25 pins and the one you posted for the GBP have 36, the parallel port on the game cube is also named "high speed port", and the PC parallel port is well known for the low speed data transfer.

but the idea of connecting this nice hardware to wii , PC or both is very interesting.
