How much electronics training/experience do you have?

I have a basic knowledge of electronics from reading these forums and Ben's book, but little to no experience putting that knowledge into practice. To be honest, the most intensive electronics project I've ever done would probably be installing a modchip in my Saturn. I'm also pretty terrible at soldering, though that's probably due to a lack of practice. (I installed my modchip using a solder-free method, you see.)

I plan on making an NOACp this summer, though, so hopefully I'll learn a bit and improve my soldering skills.

I've had lots of electronics and soldering experience from an early age. My dad got me intersted at first when he was soldering some speaker conections or somthing like that, he decided to let me have a go. I was about 6 years old at the time. After that i became obsessed with "bulbs and batteries" as my mum calls it. I started learning from basicly taking things apart, then looking at all of the components inside and finding out what they do. I would set my self little topics to learn about, then study about each electrical component over time. Gradually my knowledge and soldering skills got more and more better to about the stage i am now. All totally self taught, mainly because of my deep interest in the subject.

When i was about 10 years old i also got intersted in computers and hardware. Building my first computer when i was 13 years old. Then just learning from the internet from time to time. After i left school i went to college for two years doing computer science. Now i'm a qualified ICT technician just working part time and repairing friend or families computers.
