how do you fix a GBO? PSP?

Post by Darkhuman »

so i'm getting all kinds of systems at work, psps, GBO's, GBA, color, SNES, almost everything, and only about half of them work. I'm new here, but a long time lurker, I've moded my Gamecube, Saturn, Fixed a few NES's and i'm currently working on Consolizing an Arcade Atomiswave. So i know enough to fix a few things...

I have 2 totaly dead GBO's at work. I gutted them, and they look Perfect. I don't know what is wrong with them. They dont' power up at all. no light nada.

and a PSP, the light does not even come on with a new battery, or a charger.

I'd love to fix them, but if i can't i'll throw a GBC in it or something... who knows/

I've done quite a few GBOs, and the best thing to do is put power to it and start testing with a multimeter. See where the power goes and where it doesn't.
