Re: I JUST RELAIZED...
Pong's boring, what good is a portable version of the game you're not gonna play for longer than 5 minutes anyway.

And, it is impractical on wasting money on buying the pong system and screen and batterys and some other crap, when you could do that for an atari 2600 and play pong and other games on it.

Well, people build gba things into their gcportables, so that they don't have to take along their gameboys....Twilight Wolf wrote:Since when was portabilization about being practical?
crap, there's a lot of things we do to be practical on here. Use Psone screens instead of hiring a company to make us one and use a decoding circuit, because it's more practical. We build portables because it's more practical than taking a tv in the vehicle with us, that sucks balls, I've done it. We build all sorts of cool siht like LED flashlights because they're more betterer than crappy lightbulb ones.

But still, building a portable for ONE GAME is ridiculous. Actually, I'd totally use a Tetris portable all the time. Pong just isn't fun, breakout was a huge improvement.

Re: I JUST RELAIZED...
Remember what I said about the Genesis emulator on my PSP, though? That's far more practical than buying a Genesis, trimming it as small as possible, wiring up a screen modded to be more energy efficient, plus batteries and a controller, and then making a neat case.
It's much less practical to make a portable, but about 1000 times as cool.
jj: I believe someone here did make a "Tetris" portable in an Altoids tin; was it G-Force?
oh and edited for clarity

Agreed with the PSP thing.Twilight Wolf wrote:Remember what I said about the Genesis emulator on my PSP, though? I have a TG-16 emu on mine and I rather have that than try and find a TG-16 which will be expensive and portabalizing it (which would kinda be hard seeing as there is no true tutorials.
Re: I JUST RELAIZED...
They have Pong chips with up to 8 games on them. So that'd be eight games in a portable.
