I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on either one of these screens...
I know I've seen this screen here before: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14781
and I found this one just now too: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20415
comments? Are they probably just junk?

Actually, they aren't junk, but they are pretty...expensive. You can usually get a psone screen for that price.neverused wrote:I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on either one of these screens...

Unless you want a smaller screen, in which case those are great prices.eurddrue wrote:Actually, they aren't junk, but they are pretty...expensive. You can usually get a psone screen for that price.

Where? I've never seen them come under $60. Remember, DX has free shipping worldwide.eurddrue wrote:You can usually get a psone screen for that price.

Re: "cheap" screens
According to that link, that screen only consumes under 3W, which is at most 250mA @ 12v. It also mentions it takes from 9v-16v DC, but I doubt those are reliable statistics.neverused wrote:and I found this one just now too: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20415
EDIT:
A comment on that page says that it only consumes under 0.5W, which is only 42mA @ 12v. If it could take 6v, that would mean 84mA. Unless this screen is LED-backlit, I'd have to guess the commenter is completely wrong.neverused wrote:I know I've seen this screen here before: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.14781

I found this in http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... &start=105

It looks pretty good in my opinion.
+Draws 300ma under a load. (240ma standby)
+Should run on anything between 5v and 12v. I have confirmed that it runs on 7.2v and 5v though.
+LED backlit!
+PCB is the same size as the LCD
One thing i noticed is when I played a Dvd (after playing mk64 and GH), the letters at the menu screen were a little fuzzy on the edges.

I have seen something like this in a car before and the quality isn't that great but that was just with a back-up camera so I am not sure.

320x240 is better than the native output resolution of a NES isn't it?
