A Noobish Question From A Senior Member

Post by electromaster64 »

This is a lame, maybe even noobish question, can you play all playstation games with out the analog controll sticks? I know most of the early games don't need them but do you have to have them to play some games? I never owned a PS but I rented one for a week once to play Battle Arena Toshinden so I really know nothing about it.

The only games I have ever found that needed them are, Ape Escape (the sticks are required for playing) and Medal Of Honor (used for aiming up). I have played a lot of other games and these are the only ones I have found that need them.

I know if you attempt to play some PS2 games with any PS1 controller it will not start without you inserting a PS2 controller.

The MiniPS1was released AFTER the PS2 right? If so, the PSone controllers are probably just DUALSHOCK-2 controllers with a new paint job.

No, the d-pads are not pressure sensitive (only in the dualshock 2). They're simply DualShock 1's with new cases.
