Re: THE MGSAN64P!
What is the 'ti pth08000' that I've heard about?
What does overclocking the board do?
Thinking of a real name for this portable, anyone got a suggestion?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
I ripped up the case with pliers, it's looking good. I'm hoping to get most of my supplies this weekend. May not need to get a dremel YET. I might want one later though. Anyone got anything I might need. Ideas, items, or suggestions.
On a sort of related note. Anyone got Goldeneye they'd be willing to sell?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Overclocking eliminated lag in most games. Though I've noticed in Perfect Dark the movies go too fast and are out of sync with the audio.

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Ok, thanks Mario.
Is there anything else you could just give tips and/or suggestions?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Would I be able to use a portable dvd player, for the screen and batteries?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
i use a small portable dvd player for testing on my workbench, and the video wasn't stretched out at all.
but, nonetheless, it's a bad idea to use a portable dvd player for a portable game console

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
Why would the portable be big?
What should I use then, just the batteries, and then get a zenith or something?
Any name ideas?

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
because you need the whole portable dvd player motherboard for it to work.
it needs to decode the signals and control color, contrast, sharpness, etc.
unless you're planning on making it a laptop, it will make one huge portable, and pretty thick, too. it's just not ideal for a portable

Re: THE MGSAN64P!
It depends. What voltage and mA are they? Too high of voltage, and you would need a regulator. Too low of amerage, and your portable wouldn't start/would only run for a very short time.
