The thing is, it's never organized. It ALWAYS ends up dead after a week.

I was thinking we should make a hacking video game consoles 2 book, or an unofficial addition to the first. Non-profit, of course. Perhaps it would be sold and we'd get credit or something. I don't really care.

I'm talking one with advanced techniques, building on the old one. Improved LED mod, battery gauge, proper cartridge slot relocation, things like that that are key to building a custom portable not in the first book.

Wiki would work. We just need some organization to it. (You know, standard templates and stuff.)

A new template and theme for the site? It looks boring and dull. I could design a new banner.

Wiki and portal. Best of both worlds.

Actually the wiki would be more useful. If you want to show off a mod, just post.

Either way, portal or wiki, it would have to be very closely monitored, and not everyone could edit it. Not even all members, because then spambots could make the articles into "world of warcraft power leveling virus infested mecca", and "download free movies! It 100% legal. Just click the link for gigabytes of malware!"

Dull and boring is so much better than flashy and annoying though.

I wonder if we could rig MediaWiki up somehow so you have to activate your account on it through a PM on the forums... (Or at the very least, add ReCaptcha to it as well.)

Sorry, but every time someone brings up "this site looks boring we need a better skin", it gets shot down because the stock skin is very clean and legible, and 99% of the custom skins out there are atrocious anyway. ;) :P
