April Fools Jokes

Post by gannon »

Here's my favorite so far: http://www.google.com/googlegulp/
Google Gulp and Your Privacy
From time to time, in order to improve Google Gulp's usefulness for our users, Google Gulp will send packets of data related to your usage of this product from a wireless transmitter embedded in the base of your Google Gulp bottle to the GulpPlexâ„¢, a heavily guarded, massively parallel server farm whose location is known only to Eric Schmidt, who carries its GPS coordinates on a 64-bit-encrypted smart card locked in a stainless-steel briefcase handcuffed to his right wrist. No personally identifiable information of any kind related to your consumption of Google Gulp or any other current or future Google Foods product will ever be given, sold, bartered, auctioned off, tossed into a late-night poker pot, or otherwise transferred in any way to any untrustworthy third party, ever, we swear. See our Privacy Policy.

This one isn't bad either: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1781208,00.asp

Edit:
And a few funny things that aren't actually jokes:

Heh, both pathetic.

My practical joke to be executed the weekend is to plug a cord into a wall socket, and wrap the other end's stripped wires around a doorknob, and have a friend open the door. Only, I'd rather not give the kid a full 120v, or else he'll totally kill me, or my other, weaker friend.

*In the Professor's voice* Bad news eveybody. Linus is dumping Tux in favor of something thats a more modern depiction of linux. Read here. And if your interested in submitting your own ideas it has to be in by midnight tonight an in PNG format.

This is just a all to obvious April fool's joke.

We went on a field trip to the IMAX theater in Natick today. When we were all back on the bus, I asked the teachers where someone was. They weren't on the bus, and everyone was eventually in a panic. That is, until I revealed it as a joke.

I also punched holes in the bottom of a disposable cup. Guess who took it?

well, I got a pretty good trick earler today: remember that iPod I found a while ago? When I put up a found ad, we used the line 2 number. This morning, I was talking to my brother while making a grilled cheese sandwich. My mom called my dad on the second line. We heard my dad saying "could you describe it? Ok, I'll have you talk to my son and you can describe the songs on it." I was really mad that there was someone that called after all this time and all, but I picked up the phone (after all, what choice did I have)

I put the phone to my ear, and heard a recorded voice, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again"

I also had an idea for a joke at work: get a broken hard drive and put it in a coworker's computer while the boss isn't looking. I'd then have the coworker say his computer isn't working, and I'd be the one to fix it. I'd bring myself to the boss' attention, rip out the already broken hard drive, and throw it into the parking lot! Aw, I can just imagine the guy's face :D

I got my friend really good :D
What I did was take a mini PS2 case (care to guess where I got it  ) put 4 motors from 2 PlayStation controllers in it, wired to 2 lever switches on the bottom, and wired them to 4 AA's. I then painted 666 on the front of it.
What it does is when it's on the ground it appears to be a stock PS2 with 666 on the front of it, but when it's picked up it rumbles like there's something in it.

So what I did was set it on the front of my friends sidewalk, when he walked by he exclaimed "Holy crap! A PS2!", he picked it up and it started to rumble on his hand and for some reason it squealed too! (probably just a motor hitting the top of the case) he dropped it and jumped back 4 feet and yelled "Yipes!". It was great!
