Does the dsi come with any software, like for your computer. Maybe an AAC converter for your music, or SD card file mananger?

There probably will be an addon for that.

I think nintendo is currently satisfied.

Im not trying to steal Bibin's spotlight or anything, but as an owner of a DSi, I will contribute what I can.

Nope, no software. Although, once you update the DSi and go to the store, you get 1000 points for free.

Ive heard various things on the cameras actual mp rating, but the pics i take on the ds look decent, better quality than a webcam IMO.

Also, not to sound like Al Gore, but how wasteful does "electrified packaging" seem?
The consumer package does not have that, that is just promotional.

The DSi does WEP as well as WPA. The range is certainly improved, as is general speed.

The cameras are 0.3Mp, which is 640x480. They are just meant for fun things like games and small pics to mess with, not as a digital camera. For example, the WarioWare: Snapped! game plays just like EyeToy and is lots of fun.

I played with my friend's dsi for a little bit this week. Seems like a quality product to me.

Asked before, but not answered as of yet... Is it worth the price? Like, I love my PS3 keypad to death because of how awesome it is, but I don't think it would be worth the $50 MSRP. However, I got $20 off of it at GameStop since I had a gift card, and I think it's well worth the $30 I spent on it.

Yes, it was worth every penny. Not only does it have fun features, the DSi only games will be so much better, as well as this feeling like a more quality build.

I do not think it is worth the $170 MSRP. The way I look at it is it costs more than a DSLite and plays less games...I got mine for $65 after a $100 gift card from my employer and a 10% discount. Now it is definitely worth it at that price :D

Well, is it worth upgrading from a DS lite? I know it has a couple new features, but none of them truely seem to be relevant. It seems to be as necessary as an upgrade from the original DS to the DS lite itself.
Does anybody know what the trade-in value for it is at GameStop?

It might be worth the money, but not yet. There will certainly be some DSi only titles (They need to sell systems) and it might make more sense at that point.

The most recent DS lite run units were terrible. The hinges were unreliable, and the screens had a very slow response rate that I find intolerable at best.
