Transfer Files over Serial / Null Modem?

I've got this old Zenith SuperSport laptop, and want to get some stuff on it. The problem is, it only has a 720k floppy drive and its controller doesn't recognize 1.4 MB drives. (Yeah, it's OLD*. Probably older than some of you.) So far I've managed to do some transfers with an old DD floppy (actually it's basically new but whatever), and the old "tape over the extra hole" trick to make one out of a 1.4 MB floppy was dodgy at best.

So I want to transfer files over a null modem cable. The laptop has Procomm Plus (a terminal emulator) on it, which has a file transfer function, but what software is needed on the desktop?

This will do for now, until I make a CF to IDE adapter for it. (Don't really want to spend money on this thing.) Believe it or not, it uses a half-height desktop hard drive. (I know plugging the hard drive into a USB enclosure would work, but that would require taking the whole thing apart again and the screen justs tarted working properly again... Don't want to mess it up.)

20MB of hard drive isn't that much, just keep using the floppy. I think.

Windows' HyperTerminal should work just fine, if you just give it the right settings. (Speed/start stop bits/flow control)
Available in Programs > Accessories > Communications.
