I have an LED modded screen connected to an n64.
The n64 and the screen are running off 7.4 volt portable DVD player batteries.
When i turn the n64 on, the game starts and everything works, except the LED's get much darker.
Is this because my batteries are not strong enough?
screen gets darker.

Your batteries just might not be charged enough.
Your battery voltage is fine, but when a battery gets low, it loses voltage.
