N64 Portable Questions (changed topic title)

Post by Rixer 1337 »

I changed the topic title so ignore the first couple of post.

I need some help locating some parts for if I was to build a N64 Portable. Can someone gove me links to the following:
-100 uF electrolytic capacitor
-TI PTH08000
-2k Ohm Resistor

When I look for these items I always find more than one kind so can someone provide me with some specific links? THANKS

NOAC or Atari portables are always easy, but you should pick a system that you like. I did n64 as my first one!

Did you fry your board when you first tried? And do you know where I can find a very detailed guide on how to do a Nintendo 64 portable?

Here's a link to a really made N64p http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=25815
he has some really good information on the molding and painting of cases. As for the technical stuff, that stuff is scattered about the forums and try to be somewhat specific with your questions when posting.

Well, I haven't ever fried an n64, but I've tried doing a couple mods and broken actual pieces on them, or dropped solder on the cpu, but you can't really go wrong with that diagram. It's 100% win :D

I changed the title and the question so I wouldn't have to start a new topic.

GERRRATE!!! I love when people do this instead of new threads!! Especially *new members*

Just ordered a whole crapload of 2k resistors and 100 MFD caps, gottem off of mouser.com.
You want metal film resistors, so here's a link to some 2k ohm resistors:http://mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail. ... 1gbRNl4%3d
100 mfd 50v 105 decrees celcius electrolitic capacitor: http://mouser.com/Search/ProductDetail. ... QcO7Xmo%3d
As for the PTH08000, you may want to read this topic:http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?t=7437I was even nice enough to change the format of the topic.

As for tactile switches, Leds, Batteries, systems, and screens, buy them off of members on here or ebay. Don't get caught up buying from so many sites you forget about them.

Thank you eurddrue! You have been a big help. Don't hold your breath but I may get started on this thing after Easter because I have a week off of school. Wish me luck!

Oh and as for the PTH08000, which one on this page should I get?
http://www.mouser.com/search/refine.asp ... d=PTH08000
I would like to get it from there because it will all come on the same day and I don't feel like bothering with samples and stuff.

You have to get the voltage regulator off of http://www.TI.com There's really no way to get around that one. The free samples are just an easy and free way to get a voltage regulator. And there's free next day shipping on the regulator. Just have you mom or dad use their buisiness email to get it. That's what I did.

Thanks eurddrue. I saw this also http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Batt-charger-for- ... m153.l1262 and was wondering if each of those batteries put together was 7400mah or each one is 7400 mah. Do you know?
