Hi.
Im planning to sell my normal fatty PS1.
It has been chipped, to play copied games from bali and stuff like that...
What i was wondering, because i want to sell a collection of coped games with it.
Theres about a 1000 games there that are on each disc of their own from ISO's that are laying around on the net free to download...
Well.
What im asking,
Is it illegal or not to sell the PS1 with some/all of these games?
I know, if we were dealing with something like the PS2, where it is still illegal to do that because it is still under copyright laws, but the PS1, the games are no longer being made ( not made officially anyway ) you would be lucky to find a PS1 console that you can get under warranty, and the copyright laws are probably have been broken by so many people that they dont give a sh*t any more about the games.
So...
p.s. im planning to sell it on eBay, simply because Ben doesnt want to deal with mod chips and the like on his forums...
Thanks for your time,

YES.
It is VERY illegal to sell pirated games. (Plus you might get into trouble with eBay when they pull your listing.)
It may also be illegal to sell the chipped console.

take out the chip, and sell the system without mentioning the games. then just ship the games to the person along with the system. I have heard of people buying systems online, and therte being a few unmentioned pirated games with them.

I would normally rail on and on, but eBay will pull the auction anyways, so no point.
Not going to be able to sell it through most channels, and the ones you can, you are not going to find the people who want a chipped PS1.

What you need to do Is say your gonna sell about 1000 CD-Rs and then just load them with the games.BoomBox-Creations wrote:just wondering...

It makes it like you selling the disc and just giving them the game with it.
This is less illegal.
