Can someone download and rehost something for me?

I'm trying to Jailbreak my iPhone, but every time I DL the older firmware, it unzips into a folder that I can't use. Can someone download this file from Apple and rehost it for me somewhere, unzipped? It's only 250MB. Or, if someone could tell me how to take a firmware folder and turn it into a firmware bundle, that would work too. I'm running OSX 10.4.11.

you should already have the firmware on your computer. its in the itunes system folders somewhere. i know quickpwn finds it on its own, doesnt pwnage tool?

It does search for it. Didn't find it. I thought you might be helpful, I've seen your icon 'round town.

EDIT- just went searching for it:
I have all of the iPod Touch firmwares, not the iPhone ones though.
I've only had it for 2 days, so my iTunes didn't download them when they came out.

in windows xp, firmware is saved here:

C:\Documents and Settings\*USER HERE*\Application Data\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

vista:

C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates

mac:

~username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates



thats where firmware should be, but it might be different in itunes 8. thats from the ol' itunes 5 days!

Yep, thats exactly where it is.
I need iPhone,12_2.02_5C1_Restore.ipsw for a 3G Jailbreak, apparently.

google doesnt have anything to say about that. i always thought that you could jailbreak a 3g with the firmware on it, not the restore. you could try renaming the ipsw you have as the one it says you need. theoretically, the files should be the same?. (i think)
