Typically when that happens, I just keep playing in that server. It's awesome practice for any class I choose, and the stuff I learn from the more experienced players can be invaluable.XCVG wrote:I do that a lot, actually (in a lot of games). When I realize a server is above my skill level, I quit and try another. I do that in BF2 A LOT.
Same here. If someone really pisses me off, I go after them and them only to get revenge. Then I feel triumphant.64M320N3 wrote:I wouldn't call it a good strategy, but usually i just continue sucking instead of quitting. It's against my standards.

Wow, overkill. I only use AVG 8 (free). I had something else (I think ZoneAlarm) but it very nearly crashed my PC.bicostp wrote:AVG 8 + ZoneAlarm + Ad-Aware + Spybot S&D + CCleanerDJ711 wrote:PS. Anyone want to reccomend a good anti-malware/virus/spyware program?

You know what really grinds my gears? Freaking 1 pen in the PostOffice. There's always one a-hole writing a memoir and I'm waiting for it. Then I always happen to need to ship something out or write an MO the one time I don't bring my backpack, which coincidentally is when someone needs to write a memoir on their envelope.

You know what really grinds my gears?(sorry)
When you have to back up a whole computer, becasue it's damn near impossible to fix the install of an OS because of some malware or virus. Then you have to go look for everything valuable the person or yourself had. Then you need a place to back it up. Then you slave over a warm computer waiting for the damn progress bar to finish full formatting the drive so there is no trace of anything left on it. THEN you wait for xp to install. THEN if for some reason the install copulate up you have to quick format the drive and do it over. That step is especially a pain with the XP copy companies now give onto new computers. You know the hit f11 to start blah blah blah. I install their copy of xp 5 times before I gave up and installed my own. I had to find Internet drivers of course because Intel doesn't like XP having generic drivers for Intel's property, then find the manufactureer's site with the drivers, then update the drivers to something newer becasue those drivers are old, then when it's finally done, the person screws up their computer again in not even 3 months.
That freaking pisses me off.

BUMP FROM THE DEAD!
Okay I didn't want to start a new thread for something so insignificant, and this thread isn't that old.
I hate The Sims. Every time I see an expansion pack it makes me wonder why that feature wasn't in the original. And the ones that don't make me wonder don't do it because they have stupid features. The Sims isn't a game, it's a cash grab. Especially when you charge ~$40 for an ADDON. That's borderline theft. I want all those features and more in ONE SINGLE GAME. Especially since it probably takes about 5 days and 15 people to make an expansion pack. Really, there isn't much in them. A few new features, a few new props I mean furniture, and not a lot more.
There is one pack I would buy if they made it. The Hood. Pretty obvious.
Oh BTW this applies to both Sims 1 and Sims 2.

Wait until they release the deluxe or double deluxe packs then and get it. $40-50 with 2 or more expansions.
Anyway, something that pisses me off that any driver can relate to. When someone pulls out in front of you like their life depended on them getting in that lane, at that exact moment, only for them to slow down to 5 or more MPH under the speed limit....

Oh, I've got all kinds of stupid driver stories, mostly due to a lot of tourists navigating opposing one-way streets...Spyder12587 wrote:Anyway, something that pisses me off that any driver can relate to. But last week, I was at a stoplight, and the guy next to me went straight from the left-turn-only lane. As we both went straight, I had to cut in front of him to avoid hitting a parked car, and he promptly starting doing the whole honking-and-flashing-lights business, even though he was the one who was wrong. Grrr...

It works like a charm.
