You all must be mad at me because I get an xbox 360 and ipod touch and a cellphone all new.
But I paid for them 8) so if someone really wants it they can buy it.
The only time they pay for something of mine (Other then things I literally need to live) is christmas and birthdays. I dont see how I could ask for something that I have no reason to get? Its like telling a teacher why you didnt do your homework (Because you were lazy) but lie and said you were sick, or left it in the printer.

We're pissed at those who don't buy their own things ever! I recently got an iPod touch but that was after 22 weeks of saving allowance.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.

Took me all summer to work for my 26 inch hd tv monitor. I did get a big boost though when I got $250 for renovating my dads friends gym.

DJ711's right. we don't care if you buy it with your money. besides, I think you once said you have a job. I just hate how preps think they are so cool when daddy gives in and buys stuff for them and gives them money. That's called a mooch, or a bum. And those who have read and watched Christine, we all know what happens to moochie.

Wow, great picture. Now I need a fresh pair of pants.

I bought my 360 for $150. It was a refurb unit from Tigerdirect. Haven't had any issues, and they cleaned it up pretty well.

Just snagged some brand new, sealed Gameboy Micros today. Didn't know anyone had them anymore.

can i join the "prep death clan"? and instead of destroying their gadgets, lets sell them on ebay, for people like us, who buy used stuff and refurbs! then we get money to buy more refurbs and used stuff!

it really pisses me off when people come one here and want to build or buy a 360 lappy, but they seem to think that it will be cheap or easy. and then when we explain that its hard and expensive, they flip out and say that we are just ***holes. and if we point out that they are new to the hobby, or at least the forums they flip out (again) and come up with some crazy thing that the made, like a whole computer in an ipod touch case, or some other equally impossible crap.

at least most of em never come back!

Here's one I overheard in the store the other day:

"My iPod is only 4 gigs so I make the songs as small as I can so they all fit."

That is, they compress the music to the point where it sounds like it's coming out of a tin can so they can get their entire collection in 4 gigs. Image

I fill my 2 gig Nano up with 128 k to 192k MP3s. Above 192 I really can't hear a difference between the CD and MP3, and under 96k is atrocious. (128k is the most compressed I like to go for general listening. Online stuff is different.)

I have an 8 gig touch, I can put all my songs, podcasts, movies and TV shows on it and I still have gigs to spare. wow I must be out of the music scene. And you just hit compress and the files get smaller? I have a few friends who could use that

I encode my songs in crappy WMA. Either the source sucks or my headphones do, but I can't tell the difference.

Everybody at my school seems to have games on their calculator, or, at least know that you can put games on them.
