What I did when I was in your situation (Actually, I needed to use the EZflash Lite in my original DS phat), I just took this terrible GBA game I had, took the guts out, and hot-glued in the board from the EZflash Lite. It works like a charm, they are compatible in terms of electronics, only the shape of the plastic is stopping it from working.
