Crazy Idea

My idea is instead of paying for a screen in every portable maybe you can make like 2 removable screens and put them in any portable you make. Good Idea??

Sure, go for it. You'd only need 4 to 7 connections between the screen and the base, so it'd be easy to find a connector.

Or maybe some metal tabs?

Sure, or use magnets to complete the circuit - otherwise the tabs will break contact.

Not a difficult to make work, but harder to make it look good and integrated.
