right capacitor for pth08000

i know it has to be a 100uf electrolytic capacitor, but does the voltage matter?

also, i have an old portable dvd player with what looks like an electrolytic capacitor only more secured to the board, and it has the label "leaguer" it is 16 volt dc and 100uf. will this work?

I think the lowest is 12v or 14v so you will be fine.

yah, but what about the "leaguer"? is that just the name of the brand, or is it something else entirely?

actually, when i was trying to desolder them i thought i got all of the solder off, but i didn't, and ripped it apart.
i've already found a capacitor, though off an old atari flashback board i bought a while back for about 10 bucks at walmart.

this one is 25 volts. will this one work?

Actually it isn't smart to reuse old electrolytic capacitors. They dry out and change capacitance levels and screw everything up. Best to use new ones.

^What he said. A new 100uf electrolytic capacitor is $1.95 at radioshack. With the cost of portables, that isn't much of a sacrifice.
