I play piano, guitar, bass, trumpet, tuba, and I really really really want to learn cello! I primarily play bass, here's some shots of my Steinberger 8)

Also, I just started a synth-specific thread here: http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29162

Yeah, they're not very common these days, they're very much a product of the 80's! I absolutely love it, it sounds like a Rickenbacker with that really punchy sound to it. Its physical advantages are what make it unique: It has perfect balance, endless sustain, and it stays in tune for months. Here's the product page: http://www.steinberger.com/XS15FPA.html

Yes, it got a little of topic there...so let's get back on topic.

How much did that bass cost ya? I could imagine it not being very cheap...

Sgtpepper is a bassist too? ALRIGHT! I started with a cheap 4 string, graduated to Ibanez 5's, now I play an Ibanez 506 6 string. I've seen steinbergers before, just not in 5 strings. Looks like an EMG DX5 pickup on that thing.

Vocalist / synth-keyboardist myself. Have history in several instruments, but the only thing that "worked out" (IE: I didn't get bored) was plugging my cheap-ass $50 garagesale Yamaha keyboard into my computer and playing. My fiancee plays the Cello.

I want to get my hands on an Ibanez electric, and probably a Gibson acoustic. I'm no companies female of the dog species, so I'll play what I feel sounds best. And for fun, I wanna get and learn how to use one of these:

Maybe make my own. A new design of the same instrument. Who knows.

About that bass: Epic. Loving the fine tuners on the bridge. It's very B-52.
