Yeah, many members who didn't previously know my age have told me that. I guess, hanging around with a bunch of people who are older than me has caused me to act more maturely that my age would normally designate.

how old were you when B/R came out?

I don't remember when it came out, but I did get a new copy of Red for one of my birthday's...my birth date is 04-15-93, so figure it out.

yeah, you were only about 2 years old when those came out. I was 6 when they came out and it was a big deal. I didn't have them at first, it was probably a year or so old by the time I got it, but I remember when my friend got red for his birthday and it was a huge deal. that spurred me to go out and buy a gameboy color and blue. My brother saw it and thought it was awesome and went out and got his own red (but he was still using a brick gameboy). The shear excitement around the game(s) when it was new is enough to give it the win.

You guys make me feel old. I had recently turned 11 when they first came out, and all of my friends still got into it. I eventually bought a Gameboy so I could trade with my friends after playing it fora little while on an emulator.

I first played through Pearl before I had a DS on an emulator. It was one of the reasons I got a DS, but no way did I want to play through it all over again just for online play. I was JUST about to steel myself into playing through again, Platinum got announced. So this will be my first time all the way through on a real DS, online play included. I will just be getting to where I can swap over my lvl 100 Ruby/Fire Red team, which is composed entirely of 1st gen pokemon.

thats all kinds of crazy. This is a japanise toy company. IT IS MARKETING. Hell do I ever love pokemon. I remember being up for so many nights with this game in my thrid apartment. I can remember being found naked first thing in the morning many times playing blue buzzed on sleep dep playing off ye grand olde SuperGameboy. That was a great time to be alive. SO is right now, copulate yes.
