I would like your technical expertise dealing with a PlayStation Multi-tap and constructing an adapter to USB. I know that PlayStation adapters are common. However, most adapters only support one controller at a time. I'd like to know if you have any experience circumventing this limitation with a Multi-tap.
I worked with someone named Raphael Assanaet from Canada to enhance his Genesis/SMS/Atari adapter to support a Genesis multi-tap. The result was unusual. His adapter, rather that seeing the Multi-tap as four game pads, saw the Genesis multi-tap as a single 8 Axis 32 Button joypad (8 buttons per pad counting the start and mode buttons.)
I wanted help in reproducing the same results with a PlayStation multi-tap. I realize this will probably mean replacing the integrated controller circuit for the adapter completely. Thats fine.
So has anyone attempted to do this?
