I heard of this awhile ago and today thought on it, Anyone ever done anything with it/hear anything about it?

Yeah, had one for a while.
DIY my ass, you just follow the instructions and put it together. Then, learn a useless language so you can run games on something that is outclassed by an NES by a long shot.
Cool, but they make it into a lot more than it really is.
