Supa Retro-Spec!

Post by AfroLH »

Hey I'm gonna be starting my portable SNES.
It's gonna be called the Supa Retro-Spec!

Tell me what you think of the name.

Spec as in spec, like 'Max 330 Mega Pro-Gear Spec'

That's my guess

I think it's probably referring to "in retrospect," but that doesn't mean it can't have another meaning for the name, it'd be more fun that way.

I was going for both "in retrospect" and Spec like specifications as in a Computers Specs.

I called it this because it will be awesome.

Not to sound mean, but you may want to reconsider things if the thing you're focused most on your project is the name.

Kind of like going to get a tattoo because you just thought of a cool tattoo design (though to a much lesser extent), if you catch my drift.

Just thought I'd go on a rant here.

I despise the shortening and ruining of the english language for the sake of time-saving.

Some examples:

'Spec' does not stand for 'spec', it stands for 'Specification'.

'Check' is something you do, 'Cheque' is something you get. A 'Pay Check' would be an inspection of your pay, not an amount of money payable to you. Proper form: 'Pay Cheque'.

I urge young'uns and old'uns alike: Use full words, or they will be lost forever.
Hey, sup?

Actually, I've never seen "cheque" except by Europeans. Everyone in America says "paycheck."
