The Porticom(Name is WIP :P)

Post by Oniak »

Hey guys, And I've been lurking and drooling for awhile now, So I figured it was probably my turn to try my hand at a portable. For my portable I've decided on a portable famicom, or Superjoy 3 with famicom cartridge slot. The porticom(Dam I need a better name :P) will play the internal superjoy games, aswell as the external famicom games, thus the portable famicom!
What I will be using:
Superjoy 3
Casio 2.5" pocket t.v
powered by 4 AA's

Ive made a early design(Crapily on my tablet...) of what I somewhat hope to accomplish:

Any feedback is appreciated, as well as any suggestions.

Good to see another portable. Do you plan on using a premade case, or making your own?

Most likely either make my my own, or just mod some kind of plastic case I can find

Porticom is almost a good name, Portacom would be better but sounds like a cellular provider.

Nice paint drawing, lol. I don't recommend a pocket TV. They are getting hard to find and not as cheap as they should be. And they're huge. DealExtreme has a cheap 2.5" screen, I've heard it's pretty small inside.

Well the tv and superjoy I can get for free(Sorta, Trading chronocross, zelda oot and mario 64)
so its not that bad, and its not too big either, I also plan on using a case from polycase or pactec(Asked for a free sample)
