Battery help

I'm wondering if I could use 6 of these single cell batterys, in series, maybe at 2500mAh to power a n64p:

would it work out 2500mAh x 6 = 15000 mAh?

In series, the voltage is added. In parallel, amperage is added.
Those won't work.

Find some Lithium-Ions or Lithium-Polymers, 7.4v, 3000mAh+

yes, that battery would work, but it is rather expensive and not much milliamp hours. check around ebay there are some pretty good deals on there if you know how to search.

I take it from the links that you gave us that your from the united kingdom. Portablizing there costs lots and lots. It is more expensive than in the united states, mainly because of the screens. Evilteddy got his for $100, his whole portable costed a lot.

I’ve decided to get two of those and put the parallel it should give me reasonable battery time, and they don’t seem that expensive too me, there about $10 each.

p.s. official PSone screens only cost £20 second hand in cex.

Dont get anything less than a C cell and dont mess around with parallel combos just fork over for the right part. These thing are heavy and bulky... Two round things takes up way more space than one larger round thing.

Not tried Cex for second hand screens, my local one doesn't do anything useful. E-bay - about £20-£40 for a PSone screen. Batteries - the ones you quote are too expensive and heavy. Why not use the ones I use - search on e-bay for Canon BP-915 - they cost around £8 each; are 7.4v and 2000mA each; put two of these in parallel. You can get most things on e-bay, and cheaply too. For games and consoles, try car boot sales.

Wait there cheaper than the £8 batteries, there £6.70.

they are reasonably heavy though, but it's too late now

saying that, 3700 mAh each is quite good, i'll get 7400 mAh

p.s. On harshboy's wiring diagram it says 9v battery, can I still follow it?

They look about the same size as the Canon BP-911 full sized Li-ions I got ages ago, which are 4400mA. You get 4 cells inside each set; which you can open up and relocate inside your portable if you like - 2 sets = 8 cells though - a fair footprint. The ones I got cost more than you paid, (you got a good deal) - proves you can get cheap Li-ions in a portable these days.
