It's sounds strong enough. When I put it on the table, I can hear it clearly and acceptably. I can compare it to a PSP at 70% volume. However, the player needs to be at full blast.

i had a spare speaker from an old keyboard, so my friend and i made one of these the other day for his ipod.

Once I saw this, I had to make one. Ripped up a pair of my brothers old headphones without asking. :twisted:
After finding a suitable speaker (from my old broken GB SP [R.I.P.], I got out the soldering iron. Mind you, this was basically my first experience with soldering... anyway, it works quite well, and it works with stereo sound.
