Once I saw this, I had to make one. Ripped up a pair of my brothers old headphones without asking. 
After finding a suitable speaker (from my old broken GB SP [R.I.P.], I got out the soldering iron. Mind you, this was basically my first experience with soldering... anyway, it works quite well, and it works with stereo sound.
