I would do that, but I have pretty bad follow-through skills on commisions. I try to avoid them unless I am almost done with the project. Otherwise, I get my payment, then procrastinate forever.

That thing was fricken tiny! If you have no experience packing a portable case I reccommend a huge case. (I had major issues fitting my portable in my case)

That case was indeed frickin tiny, but it can fit. My new case is even smaller, I guess playing with packing stuff into handhelds pays off.

I will need to measure to see what a good case size would be.

I do have a decent SNESp case, though.

big like an n64 shell big. My first case was smaller than the one my portable is in now and I couldn't get anything right. things kept touching and shorting and frying

Damn, I had high hopes on actually using it over the summer in public. Anyway, how did you learn how to place the mobo and screen in the case?

I use anti-static rubberized plastic film between each "layer", it is flexible and thin, and prevents shorts.

Then what size would you reccomend, all I want is it to be easily played and small enough to fit in a nylon backpack.

The problem is, I make my cases around the hardware (sometimes. ). That means they can be as small as the parts inside. Unless I know what screen, batteries, and controls you will be using, the smallest case possible will not happen. Thus, a "generic" case would be needed.

I could build a nice looking one from an N64 shell. Think like ShockSlayers, but not ugly. That should fit in your backpack, and also fit any parts you would be likely to use.

no you would have to use a third party n64 controller to use a gamecube joystick, but then you could just use a real n64 controller's buttons.

@Palmertech, I'm interested in this "anti shorting miracle." I've never heard of it. How much does it cost? (I may need some, lots)
