Yes, yes they are, unfortunately.

I ran one of their Tire and Lube Express shop for a while, and... words cannot express.

My biggest pet peeve is that they rotate their department managers, which means that I ended up with an electronics manager trying to hire people for my shop - among other great examples, I ended up with people who never had driver's licenses, never worked on a car before (not THAT big a deal, but on top of everything else,) lied on their applications, and the list went on. And they probably still wonder why Wal-Mart's Tire and Lube Express shops have such a horrible reputation.

I'll never work for that place again, and anyone who asks if they should work there or not quickly gets that glassy-eyed look after I rant for a while.

This thread is quickly getting hijacked. Sorry, Weaponepsilon!

thats alright. One of the big managers called me today and told me to report to work. He sounded a little sheepish and mentioned that he would like to get this mess behind us. Hmm....

The sad irony is, they called right AFTER I got off of the phone with a lawyer.

I have since returned to my job to the boisterous cheers of my co workers and well wishing customers. I was informed that should ANYTHING happen I will be automatically terminated. ANything I say, however misinterpreted, will be used against me. That was how it was put from a head manager. Upon hearing this, I immediately turned to my direct manager and started talking about my online Halo 3 exploits...Basically telling the upper management to suck an egg...

On the subject of the original forum topic, Man you know that everyone has dreamed of being ruled by alligators lol. That would meen that the universe of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles really existed.

Nah but seriously everyone on one day or another realizes that there is a lot of screwed up stuff going on in this world and well want to take, in my eyes, the most direct approach... Because well thats the only way someone with a lack of power can think of doing it ie. any one who doesn't rule a country. I'm sure short of a dictatorship *cough* Wal-Mart *un-cough* ?... we could find a way to at least wipe clean the slate of human thought instead of existance. If you really think about its our train of thought ,Money = Power, that is all wrong, all though correct in a litteral sense in todays world, Basically what I'm trying to say is we just need to rethink the way that we act towards eachother and empty our cup to take in other worldly points of view.

In that thought I realize that it will never happen Kind of like wal-mart will never actually hire us enough technician for our TLE because they are to too picky on who they select, at least my store, Yes I to work at a Wal-Mart and I know their evil ways.

Ahh screw it Nuke'em all

That is the thought process that I go through I know its very defeatist.

Okay, allow me to explain the initial rant about the whole world sucks and I want it to go away.

I had my morning breakfast at the pc when I saw a news story....

http://www.wsbt.com/news/regional/38527797.html
I have a daughter and the thought of this made me upset.

Followed by more related stories; abusive priests, racists angry at the election.... I was pissed, to be frank. I decided that the world is a bad place and if certain people believe in some apocalyptic event that I was more than welcome to the idea. I do not care if you have a religion or not, the whole notion of the everything coming to an abrupt halt was particularly appealing that day. Understandably, anyone with some sense would've gotten a similar vibe.

Now I am not exactly happy that I went through all of this, but I am not pleased as punch That I still have to put up with their antics at work. Today I got a little "pep talk" for...TALKING! "You were observed talking to someone for more than 2 minutes. If this happens again further disciplinary action will be taken." FYI, this is minor considering that everyone stands around for 15-45 mins talking...

If you'll excuse me, I have a audition tomorrow for a TV spot for my employer....

Holy bejesus.

You can't just make that stuff up. Only in Ohio. :\

I think what really bothers me about that whole story is the defendant's attorney stating that the situation simply "spun out of control," that they didn't really mean for all that to happen. Like dunking your two-year-old's head under water in a toilet screams normal discipline procedure, or throwing her across the room to smash her head against the tile while the child tells her tormentor that she loves her.

Yes, that would probably start one's day off rather foul.

And the guardians met playing WoW. *facepalm*
