Well I was thinking of doing a fan mod to my ps2 slim. I made sort of a schematic of what I'd be doing. The first thing Im asking is would this really cool it(And what way would I have it? sucking air out or putting it in?)?
the second is how would I wire a fan into the ps2 power
the third is what size fan should I use?
As long as it's removing hot air, or blowing cool air onto it, it will decrease temperature. As for power, find anywhere on the ps2 board that is giving off enough voltage to power the fan (use a multimeter for this), check around the power port, but be careful when doing this. As for the fan size, any will do as long as the ps2 has enough extra volts to run it. And yes it would be cool to see a multicolored fan cooling the ps2.
Room wouldn't really be a problem as I would probably have it something like this:
But I need to find a small enough(6cm or so) led fan, And I can't find one.

if this is true you may want to find a new starting project.

I think we should check to see if you can withstand 220 volts
well where the power is brought in from the wall a white and black cord go to a circuit board, which converts the power. Then there are 4 pins going into the ps2. At least on the phat. It is possible to run either an led(with a resistor) or an 80mm fan off of the 2 most outer pins. Now how much power is needed/ sent beats me. But I am currently working on a similar project. And I am starting to cut the circular hole into the top of the case. Because my fan worked luckily.
