Excellent work, it will be interesting to see how the metal finish progresses. What colour are you going for?
Not tried wet sanding before, how does that compare to normal sanding on the case?

The wet sanding is really easy and it helps to lengthen the life of your sand paper.
Just put your sand paper (needs to be wet/dry sandpaper ie 3M) in a cup of water and start sanding. make sure you keep wetting the sandpaper as the water runs off. after a while a "goop" will start to form. This is the dust from what you have sanded dissolved in the water. Just wipe it away with a towel and you are good to go!
The color that I am going for is a metal finish somewhat like the metal on the new macbooks, that is a brushed light metal look. I am going to test the finish out on the large pieces that I cut from the front and back. I will certainly tell keep everyone up to date.
