Everything that could possibly go wrong on my portable, has. I fix one thing, then something else breaks. I think I might as well start from scratch. But I'll probably ruin that too. Why must everything always mess up for me?! Its driving me crazy!
Don't worry! I had plenty of that and trust me, it gets better. Be patient and relax, things will come together. Keep at it and things (eventually) will work to the greater good. Never, ever, lose hope. For if you lose hope, all really be lost. Good luck and Peace Out.
I think it's time for Ben to pop in and reconcile us with a humorous anicdote (or antidote) of his travels in portable making. But heck, remeber the N64p troubles?
Well, maybe I won't totally start from scratch. The TV and Noac still work. But pretty much everything else is messed up. I think I will use tact switches for the controls while I'm at it. It's too hard to get the original ones to feel right. I don't know how I'm going to fix the sound, though. It just quit working today, after I moved the TV to the front of the case. Oh, well. I'll keep trying. (I really wish I hadn't gone so heavy on the hot glue, though. )
I thought I might as well ask this here.
What is the best way to cut a project box? I had been using a combination of a pocket knife and wire cutters, but it's really hard that way. (And not very precise.)

Heat up utility knife with a torch and melt the plastic, hacksaw, dremel, drill and file.
